Right now we have volunteer teams in the morning and afternoons, seven days a week. Since many ships dock at night, we would like to expand our hours to include teams in the evenings. Duties might include: making onboard ship visits to welcome and fellowship with the seamen; delivering literature onboard ships; helping the seamen with needed requests; offering prayer support; selling phone cards; and transporting the seafarers into town. Will you volunteer one day a month? a week? How about a morning? an afternoon? or an evening?
We would like to have a contact person for each of our ministry partner groups. We need a contact at your church, business, or civic organization. Duties might include: sharing information about ChaPSS through your newsletter; connecting interested group members with ChaPSS; and helping us spread the word about our ministry. Will you be our contact at your church, business, or civic organization?
We have several fundraising events each year and are always in need of extra hands. Will you serve on a fundraising team?
We are in need of an experienced computer technician to help us from time to time with our computer needs. Will you help us with our computer needs?
